Just wondering what's your best air to air 1 sortie kill streak?

FTR Mine's 7 (twice).  Not much but I was pleased as punch    :D

Got a 9 kill streak in a g10, was one of my better days.
Also got a 14 kill streak while ackstarring (including, Citabria, Torque and a couple others  :D )

41 kills in one sortie hot reloading in the p-38L last tour. died after 41 turnfighting a spitfire.

40 kills in a single sortie many tours ago in P-38L again landed and exited.

Best was 11 Kills in one flight.

I did it 3 times air to air only, no vulch.

Twice in one day two weeks ago flying the FW190A5, plus 5 other 7 kill sorties that same day. Amazing day for me, the best flying I ever did and I probably had 80-100 kills that day alone all in the FW190A5.

Once in Niki while I was being vulched with the ack down, that was interesting.....

My most kills in one sorte (no re-arm) is 14, the last of which I got as I landed and a tank I had bombed died when we took the field   ;)


Oh but you asked for the BEST...that has to be the 8 kill sorte last month.  I shot down a certain bishop26 and then vulched him 7 times before running out of ammo.

Spitfire V:  6 (all air to air)
P-51: 6  (all air to air)
Fw190: 8 (5 air to air, 3 vulch)

My personal favorite: Me109F4 (No gondolas): 5 (3 Nik2s, P-51, and Spit MKIX)

Not as high as the others, but pretty damn good for me!!   :)

my two best are....
7 in a p-51 without hot rearm or vulching
9 in a p-51 with 1 hot rearm(during a typical a1/a4/a5 furball on the ndisle terrain) again no vulching...as a matter of fact we where being vulched  :p

Back before we had rearm pads I got 17 in a 190a8 vulching a field.  ;)

If you meant sorties with actual skill involved, I think I've gotten 11 a couple times without rearming.

It isn't something that I keep a note on, but I do remember these:-

Pnzr - 37 (still alive)

B26 - 15 (was finally killed - I bombed the VH and got a load of kills plus swarms of a/c after me!)

Typhoon - 12 (including 5 vulches, perhaps my most satisfying because I'm not really an A2A pilot but everything that I aimed at just went down.)

24 in YakU, with many refuels, landed.

20+ in Spit IX many tours ago (do not remember how much exactly). Rammed someone finally (my most usual death while in spit IX).

Both with no vulching.
