I put a Nvidia GTX1060 in my previous PC was ASUS and had an 770 in it at time. May have been a 970? Heck I cant remember and was just last March
Any way, the Power source and Base Motherboard would work with the 1060. It worked about as good as my current Asus with the GTX1070. Was only slight drop of FR between them. In VR too, With most eye candy on
The 1060 did have one little issue, it was a TIGHT FIT. I installed it myself
and thought I blew something up, as couldnt get it to run after. Let a PC DOC look at it and seems with the size difference of the 2 cards I didnt have all the connections in the motherboard space/for card, connected...was easy fix and didnt charge me anything to get it hooked up CORRECTLY
I went ahead and bought the New PC on anticipation that I really screwed the pooch on the attempted self install
