A simple question, up front, would have solved all this.
Here is the simple caveat. If a skin did not fly on the model we have chosen for the game, then assume it is not acceptable and ask for a variance.
There are examples where we are not going to do every model variation that flew in WW2, and it is there we can examine potential leeway in policy.
