Iracing uses mirrors and they even have a virtual mirror.  It is very doable.

it is very doable but you will take a hit on frame rates.

Just use the look back function. I have the pinky switch on my Ch fighter stick mapped to do that.

How does that put a mirror in his cockpit?  That is the OP's wish.

I use the forward-up view -- that would be partly obscured by the mirror -- more than the back view.

i am pointing out it is better than a mirror. Wouldn't it be better to be able to rotate your head a full 180 degrees than just having a mirror 6 inches in front of you? And it rotates instantaneously. My point was they have already made it better than a mirror so why go backwards with a mirror. Maybe he didn't know about that function in the game so was just pointing it out.

cliffs of dover has mirrors and whilst they look pretty for checking out your wingman,  it's really not the place you want to be having an enemy plane.

I'd rather have more screen to look for bandits high 12.

I'm sure the OP knows how to look behind them, but that's no reason why there shouldn't be any mirrors.  Many WWII planes had them and I doubt that it would
be any more taxing on anyone's RIG than what the Environmental Setting are. (after all that's just a reflection)

Iracing is a CPU based program I guess like good old ah2.  You would think it would hit the cpu hard but I run two mirrors, a virtual mirror, and in Ford GT 2017 , a rear facing camera.  Works really well.

Remember the aircraft that had/used mirrors in Air Warrior?

iirc, One would have to get use to the view being reversed opposite of the way mirrors work.... I believe that is how it worked if I am remembering right....

It's been so long ago, but I know AW had mirrors....

The only reason to have mirrors in Aces High, would be for the "More Realistic" effect of the plane models.... I don't see where anyone would use them in this day and time.....with TrackIR and VR 3D capability....

I believe this was discussed already, where HTC detailed it would drive up video card/gpu demand because it has two render the mirror view.

Cool Idea, but not sure the juice is worth the squeeze...
