Squelching limits.
« on: April 03, 2018, 09:10:16 PM »
with so many on that use vulgar or abusive commo.  advice to Me was squelch.  I just found out  that there is a limited number on a squelch list. so there goes that plan and also why no a permanent squelch option?

The irony of you making that comment since you are one of the most flagrant abuser of comms with your vulgar PMs each time you get shot down.  You're worse than vDALLASv was in that regard.

If you are having to squelch that many people, then you might want to consider how you are interacting with them.

My squad squelches me.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

THIS!!!

And I can't tell you how many times people have politely requested certain persons who shall not be named to stop using ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME.   It's maddening.

I suffered this very thing.   I was then told I would be reported to HTC for being abusive.  #Irony

Regardless of the OP, it has always seemed a bit silly to me that the squelch list is limited in size, and not permanent.  Regardless of reason, if you want to squelch you should be able to squelch.

But HT's aware it's been asked for, if he were going to change it I'd have expected it to happen by now.

I imagine it is not permanent in order to allow for mending of fences.   Nothing wrong with that.

Guys have gotten cross with me in the heat of the moment.  A permasquelch would never have allowed us to patch things up.

I mean a couple words now and then in CAPS like NME CV 12.11.4 is one thing, but when every reply is CAPS it's a bit out of hand.  :furious

That's about the only thing that makes sense, but the size limit is still silly IMO.
