It's not just Windows 10 doing data collections.  All Microsoft applications are doing it as well.

On another systems related site we decided to count the data points Windows 10 collects and came up with 3,582 data points being monitored and collected.  It's not just the clicks, but how long it takes between clicks, the color of what you are clicking on, the wording and font used, how long between sessions, how long are the sessions, how much activity during the sessions, what applications are being used...and so on.

You are not doing anything on a Windows 10 computer without Microsoft being intimately aware of it.

There is not a tool on the planet capable of blocking it all.

This is friggin’ distressing.  I’m wth Challenge.  If a freedom-based competitor comes out I’m jumping.   I’d use Linux but AH won’t run on it well enough.   In fact, AH is the only reason I use Windoze at all.

I feel similarly.  I was going to try Linux with Wine to see if I could get it to work, but didn't get around to it yet.

Why not use Windows 7 for AH and Linux for other stuff? Dual boot for example or even 2 computers.
Win 7 Pro 64, AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3,0 GHz, Asus M2N mobo, refurbished Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 GV-N960IXOC-2GD 2GB, Corsair XMS2 4x2GB 800MHz DDR2, Seagate BarraCuda 7200.10 ST3160815AS 160GB 7200 RPM HDD, Thermaltake Smart 430W

True.  I should have specified there are no software tools which will stop the data collection.

I'm tempted by Linux, but I use things other than LibreOffice, Thunderbird, etc.  So for now, I'd need Linux with Wine, but that might be buggy to deal with and take time.  Still, I'm tempted.

I do use Win 7 for AH currently.  But if I got a new computer, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get Win 7.
