stdshape.res failure to patch with todays update

tried to install the update and stdshape.res failed to patch anyone else get this?

Now i get a msgbox saying
Initialization failed with -9
mainWLD_FAILED -1

confirmed.

Delete sdtshape.res from the root directory of aces high III found in
C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III

then download and re-install the game.

it should not overwrite your settings at all

It would be wise to back-up your settings regardless.
Who wants to go back fix all their head positions or remap stick settings?

By the way, this is not something we have direct control over.  The error has to do with file corruption.  Typically from an SSD with a specific firmware bug, or from running anti-xxxx software, or from not having enough free space on the C:\ drive, or from not having enough free system RAM.

Any combination of the above would do it as well.
