The OE doesn't create a dump file
« on: May 30, 2018, 01:58:09 PM »
I'm having issues tracking a CTD with the OE.

1st, it doesn't create a dump file.

2nd, I have a number of different tiles I can force to load if I set the terrset to match the tile before I load them. If not, and they don't match the current settings, they CTD.
Apparently the OE stores the active terrset somewhere(?) and if you load a tile with the wrong terrset or no terrset, it CTD.

I wish I could describe this better.
So, after a crash, I reopen the OE to a new blank edit window. Then I set the terrset to the one used in the original creation of the tile. I open the offending tile, and all is well.
Before the open dialog, the OE asks if I want to save the new blank tile where I set the correct terrset, I dismiss it and continue to open the tile.

These tiles have custom objects but I don't think that maters.
They DO have terrset buildings and trees held in the swa file.

btw. It's worse if I reopen a winter object tile and change the terrset to summer. Must use Task Manager to dismiss the OE.
