Thanks Lyric, but that is Emerson's VF-B and I am trying to track down Goodson's VF-B (unnamed).

This was a typo.  It should say P-51D not B.

He did fly a B but those pics are everywhere.

Also, is the rudder silver?   It looks pretty dark.  Thanks in advance.

Noticed on many planes when the rudders are cocked and the sun is not hitting it the same as the rest of the plane people assume its a different colour.

Doped silver rudder.  Full invasion stripes.  He went down in that bird before they removed the upper stripes.
