The offense has sputtered all year, Jim needs to loosen his hold on the idea of a 1990's style offense working and open it up a bit. The defense simply can not carry the team all year long.

The offense at times looked great (Penn State, for example).

There have been games where the offense sputtered, and the defense was great (MSU).

There have been games where the offense scored a lot of points, but the defense let through a fair number of points (SMU, Maryland) or outright collapsed (The Game).

The Peach Bowl was the only time both offense and defense had major problems.

The talent of the players is very high, so that part is looking very good.  There needs to be a lot of work on plays and strategy this off season for both offense and defense.

Way ahead of you Brooke.  The Boulevard Barrel Bourbon Quad was flowing.  The pizza was good too!

The win was not a surprise to me.  Texas has talent and should be a contender.  They are just young and like most young teams they played inconsistently throughout the year.

Watch them next year.  They should be a top 10 contender, easily, maybe a top 5.

They also have Tom Herman as Head coach.  The architect of the 2014 Ohio state offense that made a 3rd string QB a winner.  I watched the game and was rooting for Texas.  If you watch ESPN you'll note in reality they are the SEC network.  I loved it when I heard the Texas crowd chant "Over rated".  BIG won the majority of their bowl games again  5 and 4 I believe.  Michigan I can't believe.  Another Bowl game loss.  Maybe they should quit going on vacation and start worrying about playing football.  World tours are great don't get me wrong.  Playing football and playing football well is what the objective is.  When is that going to sink in at Michigan?

WTG Texas well done.

Good to see UT may be back. They were gone a long time for such a rich team.

They need to hang on to Todd Orlando.  He has done a really good job turning the defense around and they needed it, badly.

I am hoping this next year is going to be a big one for the Longhorns.

Sure is nice to say I support the Longhorns and not hear people giggle anymore.

Boildown

This is the Captain.  We have a lil' problem with our entry sequence so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

It is not called a bulldog for nothing. That is what it was breed for. Of coarse modern bulldogs are nothing like they were back in the day.
