Because there's a core group of us who are hanging on because we love the way the game is designed, but that obviously isn't a way that attracts the current gamer, and to take a risk and change this may kill the game overnight, so instead there is a slow bleed hoping for... What exactly? What catalyst event to turn things around?
A drastic change is probably necessary but a drastic change might also end this once and for all.
If we are going to go slow bleed then I'd start by admitting that we have 1996-1999 Air Warrior III Europe Theater numbers (about 150 per arena) and then ask why we're still playing maps better served by 2-3 times that number, and if that still makes sense.
