Just passing along an "FYI" item; probably not suitable for AH, but its indicative of where headsets like the Rift 2 (which won't be out for another couple of years...) will be headed:
Oculus Quest mobile headset, with 6 degrees of freedom internal trackingAccording to the linked article, it uses a Snapdradon 835 chip as its processor. I have no idea how such a chip would handle Aces High III, if HTC went there. Resolution/optics seem good compared to Rift, but FOV is a bit less (95 deg.). Headtracking is 6 dof, using 4 internal wide-angle cameras. Starting price is same as Rift.
