Apple laptop running Windows

I may need to get a laptop this winter.  I have heard tell that an Apple will run windows sometimes better than a pc machine.  Any truth to this?  And if so, are the Apple machines powerful enough to run Aces High?

Hardware wise, it is pretty much a PC.  It can run Windows 7/8/8.1/10 using Apple's BOOTCAMP.  Look that up in the Apple support WEB site.

It does not run any better or worse than a PC laptop.  Whether or not Aces High will run will depend on the video card in the laptop.  Same rules as the PC applies.

I run Windows 10 (for AH and TOAW mainly) through Bootcamp on a MacBook Pro (late 2016 model) without a problem. Can't say if it runs it better than PC machines as I haven't one to compare with. Else, what Skuzzy said.

Just be aware in the old days you couldn't get Windows power management running bootcamp, so Macs would run at full CPU/CPU under Windows. I chews battery life. Not sure if this is still true though.

I wouldn't bother much about that. As every gaming laptop review I've read asks, who relies on the battery when gaming? Also, as has been said on these forums and in the Hints and Tips by Skuzzy, full power and minimal power management prevents many hiccups in games.

Actually that is a good thing.  Aside from making games run smoother, it also avoids all the power management issues every version of Windows has.  Even Windows 10 still has issues with USB brownouts if you allow power management to run for that bus.

Well that depends... on how well the unit deals with the heat. Some gear is not designed to be run at 100% full power. Laptops especially, we were using a mixture of macbooks and imacs in our training labs. They both got very hot even though we were just doing browser based stuff. The macbooks keyboards had that issue where the keyboards turned yellowish from the constant heat.
