Patch totally killed my game and removed icon from start desktop

on xp

open folder hit aceshigh9 get not valid system32

Mine went off without a hitch...well other than the CHOSEN GUN SIGHTS reverting back to default.  Dont sweat it! You can always install the game PRE test again! This what they are looking for..so thanks for posting!  :rock

Aces High III Version 3.04 Patch 1 Release Notes 

Here are the release notes showing changes to this version of the game.

1. Switch to a new internal browser using Chromium Embedded Framework instead of awesomium.

2. Now using Vissual studio 2017 for compilations.

4. Fixed a bug with the object editor not importing DOF nodes correctly.

5. Fixed a CTD when trying to schedual a mission in custom arenas.

6. Fixed a CTD when trying to auto complete segments with out having created a flight.

7. Windows XP is no longer supported.<<-----this twinboom may be you're problem.

I'd try running it in Win 98 compatibility mode.
