Minor issue, and totally user error, but next time you happen to be in that code anyway, you might tighten this up.
1. In AHObEdit, select any object from combobox.
2. Hit "Edit Tree".
3. Without selecting a tree item, Hit either "Edit" or "Edit All Faces"
4. CTD.
