Yeah, no.

I'd think the guys on this forum wouldn't fall for that "The guns look the same so they must be the same" nonsense, but apparently not.

The action of the AK-47 is completely different.

Yes, but that is akin to saying early jets are nothing like the Me 262 or that the engines of early jets are not similar to German jet engines of WWII. Influence and inspiration does not have to be evident throughout and become an exact copy. Think of the Hittite versus the Egyptian chariot. The Egyptian chariot may not be an exact copy, but an improved copy of the Hittite chariot. The influence and inspiration is quite obvious, the Egyptians just made a better one.

Yeah and the chariots before that had the wheels facing east/west. So there's that.

AK identical to a STG44, of course not..

But the concept of the intermediate rifle cartridge, MP43 to SKS45, was adopted pretty dern quick!

I am not entirely sure what you mean. I was referring to yokes and five versus six spoked wheels.

German copied that and now you can only fly the FW190a8 the direction you take off in, and do a splitS to fly back  :old:
