I'd start by pressing the Shift button while shutting down using the Shut Down in the Start menu. Then start normally. That would bypass the Fast Boot feature and any remnants of Hibernation, both of which can save unwanted glitches over a default boot procedure. I don't like the Sleep function either other than during the day if you need to visit your computer every hour or so. For the full day or night I'd rather shut it down completely with Fast Boot disabled. That's just my opinion based on what I see as a household PC tech.
