« on: September 08, 2001, 04:17:00 AM »
<S> Gday all I have made a few maps but cant get the Clipboard maps to work     :( I have browsed the entire Sight on all the related topics and still I cant do it, Prolly cuase I cant save the BMP as in 8bit coulor maybe?
Any way if you would like to look at them they are available from this site

You can download the maps here http://www.communityzero.com/kg200

I hope   ;)

Krom is a 3-way furball with 2k starts for planes, shore batteries at each Vehicle Field over looking a enemy Field for gunnery practise, PT spawn points and hidden beer & pizza. I used Jihads Tiles for this

Kish is a Large scale 2-way War with all stratiegic Targets, ports + 2 C.V's a piece and Fields ranging in  alt from 0 ft to 10000ft.I used EAW tiles for this

Any tips apreciated please email them to mrvonbeer@optusnet.com.au

If you are using MS Paint, then you can.
File/Save As/ under "Save as type" you can select 256 color bit map.

Then just make sure it is 512x512 pixels and you should be good to go.

VonBeer

I tried to get your maps but I don't see them.  All I get is the web page.  Do you need to be a member.

Also  did you get the clipboard to work.

I have a way to do my clipboard maps.
I'll make a file to explain what I do, and I'll post it here.
It may seem goofy, but it works for me.
I'll try and put it together as soon as I have time.

I had made one for the old editor (ver 1.03) and thought I posted it way back.

I've ben using the BMP2MAP program lately for my map building.

Here is a post that I did for high flyer.

I'm not sure of your internet speed, I'm on cable so I don't know how long it will take for you.

MrBeer I forgot to put in the steps for making clipboard maps, that I change my altitude of my land mass to "0" when taking snap shots.
This makes things a little easier to join several snap shots together.

JUST REMEMBER, IF YOU SET THE ALT. OF THE LAND MASS TO "0" DO NOT SAVE WHEN EXITING THE EDITOR.

I make the clipboard map FIRST! then greyscale it and use that threw AK's mapmaker.

Much easier IMO
