The Battle of Brittan in the AvA

This is a classic air only setup, and it's well worth your attention.

Most of us know the story. Hitler considered England a threat to his plans for the conquest of Europe and when she refused to negotiate a peace, he decided to suppress or conquer her. The first stage of that plan called for air supremacy over the English Channel and southern England, to be followed by landings of German troops along the English coast.

The Battle of Brittan, so famously named by Winston Churchill, raged in the air from July, through mid September 1940.

Come join us in the AvA for a great setup.

Terrain: avaeto

Allied Planeset, England, Bishops:
- Hurricane Mk I
- Spitfire Mk I

Axis Planeset, in France, Knights:

- He-111 H

Setup:
Icons: No Enemy Icons, Friendly at 3K
Visibility: 11 Miles
Radar: dot dar, enemy an friendly, On
Radar Alt: 200 ft
BaseWarning & TowerBasedRadar (for display of base warning): 8 miles

This must be a test to see who actually logs into the AvA. The map is right but the Brits have no active aircraft on the two fields I selected (a1 and another). I thought about checking to see if somehow the Firefly and Panther could fly but that's just wrong.  :D

No hurry or worry. I was checking it out for later and possible recruitment of players to lure.

The planeset is enabled and countries can fly. However, the rest of the arena settings should be checked. Dar, killshooter etc.
Easy in-game again.

Spit Is and Sea Hurricanes active on Brit side. I'm just curious if the latter should be Hurri Is (which aren't active). I've no checked out the German side, yet.  :)

Although I've been a stranger, AvA is and will always be my first love. I've decided to start promoting it again.  :)

And in particular, the wind.  It's still set up for Monday Night Madness, so there is a howling wind above 4k that makes the arena very unhistorical.
