77th Sentai Ki-43

Devil requested this Ki-43 skin for his Guadalcanal event. Thanks to Lyric1 for finding some of the info I used for it.

Judging by the fuselage bands this Ki-43 was likely the aircraft used by the CO of the second squadron of the 77th Fighter Regiment based in New Guinea. It had an old very worn coat of pale green covering the NMF on its upper surfaces. At some point this had been added to with a dark green squiggle scheme. These colours were fairly standard for the group's fighters at the time although the scheme layouts varied from plane to plane.

Very nice, Greebo. I do wonder why you used such a vibrant red-orange for the Hinomaru on this skin and a completely different shade of a darker pure red on some other Ki-43's like this one?

Its the same base red colour, just without such a heavy desaturation filter on it. I can increase the filter strength for this one too easily enough.

Interesting that it would shift the apparent hue so much as well as desaturating it. I do prefer the look of the desaturated red, so if you're willing to change it I do appreciate it.
