Thank you to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin, the same colour photo I used for the Panzer IV I just did.
This ambulance Sd Kfz 251 of the 2nd Panzer Division had a complex camouflage scheme designed to hide it amongst trees, although the effect was largely negated by the huge red cross symbol freshly painted across the engine cover. It was photographed alongside a Panzer IV, likely during the war games held in Northern France just prior to D Day. As one of the two Panzer Divisions in Normandy on June 6th this division fought from the Allies from the first day and throughout the campaign.
