D-Day 75th Anniversary Jump
« on: June 12, 2019, 11:55:13 AM »
Several people said they wanted to see this so here ya go. Jumped into Normandy for the anniversary of D-Day. C-47 we jumped flew on the real D-Day in 1944. We crossed over Utah beach 30 seconds out then out the door at sunset. Awesome time there.

Thanks Weps, I've been waiting for this, and been following the story in the media.  Much better footage here than what they showed.  Great job to you and your group of yearly vet thrill seekers.  Going to be hard to top this one next year.

So many great shots in your vid, Utah beach in the background right there as you were coming down, and the final shot of the C47 laying a string of jumpers...fantastic.

Haven't had a chance to watch the local news clips from the Anniversary stories until now but found this one on the veterans being honored. Great story and coverage.

Recently had a couple people ask about this so here it is again. Too bad this year was cancelled due to COVID but the 75th anniversary was well worth it.
