Canada plays basketball? I thought the only sports they played were hockey, ice fishing, dog sled, and drinking beer  :D

look it up... basketball was invented by a Canadian.... Dr. James Naismith in 1891.

From the little town of Almonte about a 30 minute drive from where I live.

Curling is of Scottish origin, early 1500s. Don't knock a sport until you have tried playing it.
