WOW...you made this one SO MUCH better, DANTOO! Awesome job! I have to admit....that first flight, I had Goose Bumps. Talk about immersion...between VR and the accent..PRICELESS! It couldnt have been any better! :rock GUYS you missed the Single Most, HANDS DOWN, BEST scenario I have flown in. Not only that...but he stayed up 36 hours to pull it off! That alone, blew me away. Dantoo,SIR, THANK YOU :salute Oh, on a side note....Perdweeb, I dont think you got me once....but your dang squad mates made up for your inadequacy  :devil Yup, you called it! Those 110s were BOSS  :rofl If it wasnt for the sight of seeing Shuffler in a "Trainer"....might have convinced me to fly axis  :bolt:  To all that flew...Love ya, Brothers!  :rock

I really got a sense of how the Germans must have felt in 1940 against Chain Home, Chain Home Low, and the sector control system.

No matter what we tried, there were always large numbers of Spits and Hurricanes waiting for us, at higher altitude.  They had eyes, we were blind.

We might get the bombers though, but it was always going to be a fist-fight. We were never going to sneak them in.

Nicely done, Uxbridge.

You should have seen it from our side.  Bunch of bombers in tight formation with lots of flies buzzing around. Several times we knew we weren't gonna make it. We couldn't fight both bombers and r escort, so we picked one and hope for the best.

We had several players who quit after one or two fights we got slaughter several times. But it was awesome.

Dantoo's controlling saved the scenario for me.  It really added to the immersion responding to radar vectors and being positioned for the bounce as best he could make it for us.  Afterwards I remembered that there is a transcript of the radio logs for the last mission RAF Wing Commander Douglas Bader flew when he was shot down.  I dug out the book and read it.  Things sounded very much similar on Vox last night.  Very very cool :aok

Had an engine quit on me, guess it seized on me.  Pointed nose down trying to figure out the problem, got killed first.

Really amazing job by Dantoo, I know he's been thinking about this for ages now, you may not know this, but he only ran 2 hour long demo's of this, one for Axis Command and one for Allied, as he thought he had another week to plan it, stepping up at what turned out to be short notice like he did was a heck of a performance, you'd think he had some ATC training <G>

I'll be putting up a youtube video shortly of the view of the last 5 hours from the Allied side, and will crosspost to the general board in the hopes of attracting some fresh bodies for the next one.
