I never really appreciated...

...just how TINY the F4F actually was until I got my VR headset. I mean I've built plenty of Wildcat models so could see the scale of the pilot vs. the aircraft, but tonight in Offline mode I set my FOV to 110 (max for my headset) to get a more or less 1:1 scaling. It seems to be VERY close, because the cockpit model pilot's body (LOL at the boxers) matched up pretty well with mine (does anyone else get a weird, sort of itchy feeling when looking down and seeing that, too?). And based on that, I'd almost call it claustrophobic.

No wonder I read so many accounts where pilots left the canopy open. I'd almost call it claustrophobic.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
