clipboard maps
« on: November 18, 2019, 10:04:49 AM »
I deleted the airfield/factory maps and added aircraft performance charts using the "delete" and "add new map" functions, leaving only the "normal world" map.  However, when the war was won and the map changed, my charts were uninstalled and the airfield maps restored.  I'm guessing this will happen with every new map.  Can I just save the "maps" folder (with my charts) and restore it after a map change to avoid the delete-and-add process?  Can the new .lst file be copy and pasted to my folder of custom maps?

Have you tried setting the folder to read only?

Looks like the (terrain).lst file contains a list of maps to display.  Next time I will try renaming an old .lst file with the name of the new terrain.

The latest map change didn't produce a new (terrain).lst file.  (The terrain is Oceana.)  So, I renamed the last modified (terrain).lst file to "default.lst" and it works fine.

Why don't you just add your maps with the GUI provided next to the map display? The GUI simply edits the lst file.
