For learning dog fighting I highly recommend getting into the match play arena with a friend and keep on fighting.

Never HO will be rule one.

Film your matches. And reflect what you could have done better.

Do not worry about shooting your enemy down. Fight for position instead.

Watch your E state, always look when you can gain more than your opponent. If you have more you can put the fight into the vertical.

There are several good merges, look what works good for you. For me when merging I dive for speed and initate a climb for position right for the actual merge. I look at my opponent if he climbs with me I turn into him and I make sure I have around 200 indicated airspeed. Before we merge again I try and buildup as much speed and make another climb. In most cases I win the e fight or win the position. About now we should both stal but if you can control the stal and be above your enemy. You dictate the fight. If your opponent keeps diving don't follow, but look if you can gain a better position on him again and push him in an corner. BnZ him basically.

I used to talk to myself when I was still learning. I kept predicting where my opponent would be next and what he would do afterwards.

I would fight you in the MPA arena myself but we are in different timezones.

I think FLS can help you with the basics pretty well.

The next best thing I can recommend is watching Vudu's older videos and linking you to my old duel with Tactus.

Gl brother on your further dog fights <S> and come and join us during the King of the hill events. Much dogfighting to be done there.

Cheers,
Dutch

Monday Night Madness in the AvA is another place to get a lot of dog fights under your belt.  Small map, quick set ups, and a whole lot of fun.  Begins at 8 pm EST every Monday night.

You’ll be well served to get training in BFM, energy management (the energy egg), and use of flight path vector.  These are the basics of crawl, walk, run in learning to dogfight.

The learning curve is steep.  So, remember to have fun with it and CHECK SIX!  :salute

Will second Dutch's & Puma's comments.  A session with FLS will be invaluable in getting you a good start.  He's an excellent teacher!  I'd offer to find a time to help you get started but these other guys are much better and I'm going to be out of town (actually nearby you in Mass., but without my gaming puter) for a couple of weeks.   :salute

Any time you are doing fighter training let me know.

We generally do training in the training arena by appointment.

If you see a trainer in the TA who is not busy you can ask for training without an appointment.

Since different players have different training needs I like to train one at a time.

Just tell us when you are available and we can schedule some training.

Any time you are doing fighter training let me know.

He is literally letting you know that his schedule is free, as he will make time to attend training... .

C'mon FLS, When you are online, look the guy up in the roster and ask him to go to the TA for some training. You already know he's looking for training.

We don't hunt people down in order to train them. If you don't approve of that please address your complaints to Hitech.

He is literally saying he is good to train when ever you are. You have his name, you know he is good to go when ever you are.

" .f Popason then .p Popason ready for that training? meet me in the TA "

that is all you have to do
