Downloaded and installed the game.  I did however save the settings file to my desktop.  I did gravitate this file to replace the standard settings file and renamed the original settings1.  Changed the name of my file to simply settings.

The configuration file that I saved to desktop did not work properly.  Buttons, rudder etc. did not work properly from the file that I substituted from AH3 a couple years ago.

Went to windows to calibrate.  Icons are up in the control panel file for the three controllers but when I go to the pedal there is no response and while doing so in calibration it asks me to push a button on the controller. Last time I looked there are no buttons on the rudder to push.  It goes on from there.  I went into manual in game to reprogram the controllers.  I must be doing something wrong in basic programing.  I also, if I remember correctly, windows has a timer on the USB controls and if not used it will automatically dump them.  <shrugz>

A word or two would be of great help.  Thanks.

At a quick glance, are you using the control manager v 4.x.x?

It also might be worth your time to uninstall that and try it with out the manager. According the CH website, the manager is for programing only.

Programing in both places might, on some machines, throw a peripheral in to limbo. Also check to make sure that you are plugged in to the correct USB port version.

You saved the whole settings folder?

You might want to just transfer manually the .kbd and .jsm files from the old settings folder to the new one.

Make sure you keep the current login.cfg file.

If you still have issues with it try setting the controllers up from scratch in Aces High.

After doing what FLS recommends and it doesn't fix the issue:

set up the controllers from scratch. Try it without the "control manager" software from CH. If that doesn't work then install the control manager V. 4.55a.

Just make sure you you are running the latest drivers for your hardware prior to setting them up from scratch.

Forgot to ask, are you using a powered hub? A lot of MB's don't supply enough power to their USB bus for multiple controllers.

Thanks all for the responses.  I've always used a powered USB Hub.  I'll get on with the programing tranfering the .kbd and .jsm files.

Also I am not using the CH Control Manger.

Thanks again.

All three controllers are plugged into the powered hub and all are recognized.  Same setup I've used for years in Aces High.

Well if windows sees them then AH should be seeing them. Are you sure you looked in the drop down list under map controllers? It may have been at the top of the list before but sometimes for whatever reason windows juggles them. Click on the list and see if it's there with your other controllers. It's gonna so something like CH device 1, 2 and so on depending on your layout. Might not even be in order! On mine my mfg pedals are first, the CH fighterstick I generally don't use but is part of the profile I have set up is 2nd, the VKB stick is 3rd and the CH throttle is 4th on that drop down list.

Did you try setting up your stick prior to swapping the new settings file with the old one you had saved from a previous install?

Gentlemen thanks for your help.  I ended up just resetting the controllers buttons, axis et. al. using the in game software.  It worked.  Needs a bit of tweaking but it works.

Coolio! Look out for buttons being mapped along various axii by default. This got changed somewhere along the line and it had me scratching my head at first. Rudder and brake pedals in vehicles was one off the top of my head. That might work for you tho in that case just roll with it!
