Fw 190A-1
« on: February 23, 2020, 01:02:57 PM »
It would be nice for events to have something to represent the early model 190s. While it would not be a perfect solution, the ability to run the A5 with just outboard 20mm MG FFs and no inboard 20mm would be helpful. The A-1 had MG17s in place of the inboard 20mms. Other differences with the A-1 were weight and engine HP, but an extra gun pack option would do wonders.

yes please.

I love the a-5 in the main arena.
I always thought the machine guns weren't worth the weight.
I would have a lot of fun in this.

Fw190a9 would be a better choice for all but scenarios, about 1000 were made autumn -44 until armistice.

It would be quite a bit faster at lower altitude than the A8 with it's TS engine, better armor on oil cooler ring, and share 3d with A8 except it had the F8 canopy.

My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

i dunno, i think a lighter a-5 would be WAY more fun than a faster a-8.

I concur with having a Fw 190A-1, even if it is essentially a re-skin with some armaments disabled for scenarios.

Cool, well I am asking for Events.

Pretty much my thoughts.

The armament of the A-1, other than the 8mm(7.92 mm), is the MG FF 20 mm. If it is the same load out as the option on the A-5, you have 60 rounds per gun and a lose of velocity of around 800 fps. Just saying.

Yes. I am not asking for the next late war hot rod, I am asking for events as I have previously stated twice.

Seems like an A-2 or A-3 be a more fitting choice.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

you can cover the A-1 and A-2 with gun pack options on the same 3D model

Anything under the A-5 (A1-A4) could use the same 3D model with some minor variant exceptions, I was thinking more along the lines of production numbers and plane set match-ups. But I'm no expert, and would be happy with anyone of them.

I'd really like to see more early and mid-war aircraft in the plane set. The 190A-1 or A-2 would be good fun to fly in events and in the AvA.
