Sad examples in history:

Buddy Holly
Richie Valens
The Big Bopper
Ricky Nelson
Randy Rhodes
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Aaliyah
Jim Croce

if you feel the need to go for an airplane ride, fly with the professionals.
Being male, an accident of birth. Being a man, a matter of age. Being a gentleman, a matter of choice.

Age is strictly a case of mind over matter.
If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

I am happy for you that you were successful enough to own and operate a private airplane. My comment was not meant as a slight to you or anyone else in the General Aviation Community.
You might be thrilled to take a flight in a vintage B17 but I am content to watch you enjoy that ride from the ground.... I am a retired 30,000 +hrs airline pilot.

Even though I can well afford it, I have always watched from the ground also.

Well it seems like I was lucky; My sons and I all had a ride in the B-24, and I had an hour of flight instruction in the TF-51D.

Its crazy, I went up on Nine O Nine a few months before the crash.   This was from my flight on Nine O Nine looking over the gulf of mexico Florida.

Flew on the Aluminum Overcast in 2015, I don't regret it.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

That is a true shame for a group dedicated to keeping history alive.  It's likely going to cost some serious coin in litigation on the back end.

I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

It's a horrible tragedy all the way around.
