The best way is to use the build-in streaming option via the drivers themselves. But it's kludgy at best.

I you just talking about making VR view vids for you tube,…I don’t have VR, but there are players that upload VR vids. If ya don’t get an answer soon, post it on General, some may not view this forum.

It does, that's what I've used for the handful of VR clips I've made. Works quite well too.

Record or stream your live gameplay using OBS or with the Nvidia app. Saves as actual video files in whatever quality you like that you can edit later. Caveat is higher quality=larger file size and performance hit.

OBS via OBS_OpenVR_InputPlugin_v1.5 captures directly from the mirror surface, so if you have SteamVR oversampling at 3000x3000 per eye that's what you get, and can pan/crop/zoom yourself silly in editing.

SteamVR only does half fps, though, so you'll only get 60fps with the HMD at 120hz.  AHFilm with "use recorded views" gets 60, is also capturable in OBS, but is sometimes not quite what you saw.

If Quest drivers capture the full frame at 60fps I'd look for an OBS plugin to tap into it.
