Thanks for the help and kind words, everyone. Dale has graciously allowed me back on the forum so I can post my skins. Lyric, thank you very much for being my relay during my timeout. Glad to be back. My compliments to everyone.
Welcome back The color match now is almost exact. They really had some intense coloring.
Never thought I would find research material for a skin from a source like this.A German company is turning WWII wrecks into furniture. Parts of "Miss Sis II" now stools.https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160486&page=15https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160486&page=16https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160486&page=17https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160486&page=18
Welcome back.
No worries.
Lyric da man!!Well done Lyric.
Nice skin & welcome back!
Vraciu used an original colour photo that I provided him of a sister aircraft from the same squadron.(Image removed from quote.)He has made some adjustments though.Well, crum. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. I had my opacities for the colors all set to 100 by accident. I never noticed it. I guess staring at a monitor all day dulls the senses.Thank you everyone for pointing it out. Devil and I also had a conversation over it offline and he agreed. So.... Here is what it looks like now. I posed it at the same angle for different times of day in the first and last shots to show a comparison. The lighting does flare the red up some when hit directly. I can always tone it down more if needed. My goal was to hit the tone of the last image, a color shot of an 82nd FG P-38 being refueled.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.) Also, great work on the new skins, Devil, Greebo, and FTJR. Thank you everyone for the compliments--and to Lyric1 for his usual impeccable research.
