Film Viewer

When will the film view see some love? For me, it crashes often, dose this with terrain tiles, and will not go into "external" view if you have the "use recorded views" box checked (it use to)

Is now a good time, please?

I suspect much of this is outside HT's control. For instance, I've never experienced the problems you do. But I have experienced problems you don't (using the film viewer for screenshots and editing said screenshot through an outside program then when returning to the viewer my planes view appears to be crashed [ground view of grass] with no recovery unless I close the film viewer and reopen). To me that seems to indicate problems that are unique to our machines and possibly related to how our computers interact with the film viewer. Fixing the problem for one of us probably wouldn't fix it for both and I don't know if HT has the resources to replicate both our problems on his end.

Just my take. If he can indeed fix film viewer problems for all players then great.

For me, I've had the best luck when the window isn't maximized.  If I go full screen and exit, it needs to be restarted. As far as capturing fullscreen display you can do it with obs capturing a specific window. That way you can have the main window on top without being recorded

I dont bother to try and capture anything from the film viewer. Its just not worth the effort the way the film viewer works for me. While running my Oculus I have no trouble with capturing a windows view of my screen with OBS.

No this is the AHfilm viewer. Some films show in the "night" time when I know they were filmed during "day light" because I spend most of the night time sitting i the tower.

A number of people have posted issues with the film viewer, I was just hoping that now that Hitech is done with the CAF game stuff he was working on maybe it was time to dig into the film viewer issues.

This forum is for bug reporting. Not asking about my emotional attachment to the film viewer.
