Here is a short video on how to dive bomb a carrier (or any ship) in AH3.  This is the method that has worked out best for me, there are many other ways.  I hope this helps out some perspective dive bomber pilots!

Nice video. Steep dive angles are good for accuracy but it's difficult to dive 90 degrees on a moving target. You were probably around 60-70 degrees in the video and that's a good angle to go for. As long as you set up a consistent dive angle along with your drop altitude you can trust your sight picture to be accurate.
