New China?
« on: May 12, 2020, 03:49:35 PM »
Ok... I have not posted on my (now locked) China post for a day or 2 and I hope the
Moderator (HTC) will not consider this political
As I think I said earlier in that post or intended to, enemies of the US (including collectively) our government (both repubs AND dems have succeeded in
splitting the country into just about 1/2 (take a look at any poll)
As I said to Demon, I am at the age where I feel sorry for my daughters, sons in laws, granddaughters, etc.
But, being a history buff, I do not recall one country or culture that has rebounded from being
destroyed EXCEPT for the Assyrians (only twice)
I do not agree with most your assessments of our situation and so be it
This is my last post on this subject

I cannot argue with a single point. It's so sad to me that a country founded on such ideals as expressed in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, could come to the point of so much mistrust and hatred. Guess I was born too late.

As a history buff you would know that the USA was in fact split in half by a civil war and it managed to recover.

You are seeking to blame another country for your problems instead of owning those problems and finding effective solutions

Read my post carefully... I said "destroyed"... rebellion is a far cry from "destroyed"

This needs more context. What qualifies as "rebounded" and what qualifies as "destroyed?"

Not hard... what is political about some one misreading a post?
