Then some try to justify gaming the game..

The engine air start is one thing that should be turned off in this game IMO

Just make air starts less dependable. That should fix it.

Why do you guys think it's a problem that needs fixing?

It was already fixed many, many years ago.  Currently, turning off the engine in a fight to turn tighter or bring the noise over quicker at stall speeds in vertical turns is in the mind of the player.

I don't disagree, I was just wondering why some people still think it's an issue.

It definitely isn't a widely-used tactic, in fact I only know of two people who have ever used it consistently.

You should try adjusting your deadband and dampening to get your joystick more accurate. Your nose is bouncing all over the place causing you to miss shots and waste Energy.

I dont see the problem with turning off the engine. When i try hard i do it as well at the top of climbs to rope. It makes your plane more controllable. When something is implemented in the game one should be allowed to use it. It is not the same as HOing and vulching.

Yes I would say as dependable as they were in the real aircraft

Dutch, admit that it is gamey and can't be done reliably or effectively in other sims, let alone a real airplane.

The only thing i said here was that it is in game and should not raise any eyebrows when used. As it stands now it does improve ones controlled stalling ability when used proper and is thus some form of skill when implemented in ones flying and i have done it extensively in the past as well.

When being in a flat spin in a bf 110 for example turning off the engine helps pulling out of the stall. Unless you have a dual throttle like me you wont be able to pull out otherwise.

I am not opposing the the following wish by any means.

Not just in two engined planes.  I was often victim of the spitfire's ability to flat spin at the top of a very marginal loop and engine off = recovery quickly.  Engine on = ride it for ages until the earth stopped play.

I got a new stick, old one was spiking all over the place
