Too much info.  Please return to not telling us every time player A shoots down some other player A.

Turn it off if you do not like it. Simple.

This is the way it was before.

Tell him how to do that.

Right click text tab:

Select 'edit settings':

De-select system messages.

Alternatively, 'Add tab' and enable system messages in it (the categories will now be separated into two text boxes).

I dont think it adds anything to the game.

I hated it at first, but in its own window I dislike it a lot less now.  Still wish it was its own channel completely, but oh well.

I do think one positive is it makes the arena seem busier.  It also gives immediate feedback about what's happening around you.  When you see a friendly in your area kill someone you see who it was and it can inform you about who else is likely in the area.  YMMV on whether that's a good thing or not, but I like it.

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Same here it really helps the arena feel like something is going on when #'s are low. I'm sure new folks log in and see that there is a fight going on somewhere and not just dead air.  Though having the "Instant" Kill messages on their own channel from the usual system kill and damage landed messages would be good.  I don't mind them usually but when #'s go up it can get kinda crazy but I still like to see folks get their name in lights so I don't want to turn off ALL system messages.

I dont mind the kill messages..just wish they were different color to differentiate between 3rr party kills and my own kills/damages/deaths.
