Post mission report

It would be cool to have a feature that you can enable to give you a report after each mission with things like total number of objects destroyed/time destroyed/rounds fired/hit, aircraft shot down, assists, or damage taken.

I'd like to add that this might help give the new guys a better sense of accomplishment and contributing to the war effort after a mission where they might die after only killing a few guns or towns.

I thought that was what the achievement system was all about.

I think the achievement system is similar. This would be more of a debrief for the new pilot. He could see what he accomplished and maybe see some of his mission stats like hit percentage or bomb damage.

I like it. Im a numbers guy. To this day I still watch my hit percentages and such. Some nights your flying and thinking to yourself "I can hit crap!", but come the next day you check and see the hit percentage and/or damge percentage hasnt changed much. With this kind of info at hand , when I get into those funks I can count on averaging out over the long run.

Goes a long way to help keep the frustrating at bay.

Many years ago, I asked for something very similar a logfile on you local disk similar to the ones used by ahevents in scenario:

"17:34 Snailman takes off in a B-24 from Base A24 on map on NDISLES"
"17:44 PLAYER A shoots down Snailman near (closest land base)"
"17:49 Snailman helps Player B shoot down Player A near (closest land base)"
"17:55 Snailman destryoed (list of items) at/near (closest land base)"
"18:14 Snailman lands safely at (base)"
A bonus would have been altitude information for each event.

Oh, the fun I could have had writing a tool scraping those logfiles and making charts and stats  :old:

I'd love to have that for offline missions too. +1

Extra points for being able to kickoff AH to run an Offline mission from command line params.  I could then build a whole offline campagin wrapper to simulate a campaign progression and kick off missions and scrape the results and drive the campaign career/assignment progression.

:D

I just think back to when I was a new guy and rarely got any kills.  I would be satisfied with knocking out the radar and drawing any defenders down to the deck ahead of a friendly mission. Even though I would die shortly after it still felt like I was contributing and had a successful mission. I think more stuff like that would help keep the new guys interested even if they die to the veterans
