The real problem is that the Buck Doesn't Stop Anywhere.  The failure of leadership is getting people killed.  If you (the gentle reader of this post) can't agree we need new leadership after everything that's happened, I hope you go auger yourself into a mountain somewhere.

More positive news about the 2x vaccines Pfizer and the Oxford one.   Hopefully Germany and the UK can make it available to all regardless of nationality, ethnicity and wealth position.   :D

Careful...very close to political....

Any "leader" would have been caught with their pants down and the outcome would be no better

And please look around as America has been out of leaders for decades...only jokers left now.

Without a law stating wear a nask many will not.

And then who and how are you goinh to enforce it?

In America numerous lawyers are lined up waiting to fight such an order...they are all ready doing it at the local levels.

When kids have covid parties what else can you expect?

America is not self disciplined like Asia and we are the most diverse population compared to the rest of the world.

Many groups are out of anyones control these days...

Heard yesterday that the virus has muted and has become easier to catch but a weaker strain.

Sometimes it seems you don't know what to believe or why it is being stated...

Arrest, ticket, fine?

Cops only?

Now they want to make the store merchant the enforcing agent

Lawyers say that wont fly

We have one in Texas now.

And then who and how are you goinh to enforce it?

I'd start with $1000 fines.  The municipalities need the cash anyway.  If the fine isn't paid in 10 days, it's a felony.  Issue a warrant.

If anyone tries to push their way into a business unmasked, it is felony assault on top of the fine.

Let them fester in the Covid petri dish of a country jail cell for 180 days.

As to merchants being the enforcers. Remember their stores are private property and they can deny service and permission to be on the grounds at their discretion. TX has just announced a mandatory mask in public the other day due to the recent upsurge in cases and hospitalizations.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

around here, no mask, no service. some stores will give you one upon request.

haven't really seen more than a couple of people trying to walk in without a mask and make a big deal of it. most are just politely asked to wear one by either customers or clerks.

as for people going to jail? nope, a ticket is enough. why put the people at more risk.

We have a $50 fine here for not wearing a mask. I致e not heard of a single citation given as of yet. More importantly, not one person I have ever met would be dissuaded over a $50 fine - they壇 either follow it because it痴 law (EO), and/or to protect themselves and others.

I said make it $500 and start giving tickets immediately, but $1000 sounds even better.
They're casting their bait over there, see?
