50 years or older.
« on: July 01, 2020, 10:54:22 AM »
This post started 13 years or so ago.

I hope those who responded are still here with us.

I will turn 71 this month. Since I retired five years ago this month this game has become my go to way to get away from real life "stuff". WWII aviation has been a lifelong interest of mine. Those who know that chapter of history, know  how I feel.

My wish is that there are younger people who love aviation and history will embrace this game/simulation and join us old f%rts in some fun and camaraderie.

Not over 50, but I'm going on 20 years this October. Next year will be 20 for the 412th.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Broke 60 a few back and mentioned to a friends son 30, who was all "hey dave I got VR and DCS is so cool!"
Talked briefly about learning to fly a plane versus, let me correct that, DCS and AH { and mentioning I never tried DCS } and he's been with us a few weeks now.
I haven't thrown the whole AH book at him but he did land 3 last Tuesday.

There is something funny about him though, he's one of those guys who hit's things with sticks.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I guess I fit in this thread....  :old:

"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

I was under 50, when that other thread was started, but now I'm over fifty by a bit. I'll be 56, in October.  There are times when I am amazed I made it this far.
