A hard-fought event, as the LW employed it's new 'Gefechtsverband' formation against 8th Air Force B17's and their Mustang escorts.

The 8th reports heavy casualties among the bombers, but the LW Command is shocked to learn that all of the new 'Sturmbock' aircraft were shot down!

LW - points:

5 - B17 destroyed = 100 points
10 - P51 destroyed = 100 points*

Total - 200 Points

*number is approximate

USAAF - points:

10 - 190A8 destroyed = 150 points*
6 - 109G10 destroyed = 60 points*

Total - 210 points

Result: Draw - with slight edge to the USAAF.

Thanks to everyone who participated, we had about 50 people turn out, and it was a blast to watch.

Hey Vadr...

Thanks.  The event was well planned and run.  Thanks to all who set it up and thanks to all those pilots who showed up and executed the missions.  Outstanding.

The Devildogs are considering our ability to participate in Afrika.  That looks like something we could do.

Thanks again.
