I'm a little surprised you didn't "help him down some stairs".  I mean when leaving the aircraft, sometimes that first step can be a doozy after all. :t

I’m with Fork on this.  His “Captain” personality was more than likely formed as an example of how he was treated as a young pup in the right seat, back in the day.

Quite possibly - but brain cancer symptoms include weakness, difficulty walking and/or dizziness, seizures, and headaches. Those that involve personality changes are things like confusion, irritability, anxiety or mood swings. A friend had a brain tumor who showed these changes - being an outright arse wasn't one of them.

Headaches could do it. I get sinus headaches from time to time, and they don't put me in a great mood.
