F4U-1 VMF-213 "Eight Ball/Dangerous Dan"

VMF-213 "Hell Hawks", Guadalcanal July 1943
Haven't found a pilots name associated with it and unusual in that it has "Eight Ball" on both sides and "Dangerous Dan" on one. I've found most of these Guadalcanal F4U-1's with different art on either side or only on one. As a squad they scored 113 kills and 13 aces. All but 8 of those kills came from March to December 1943 in the Solomons, the rest from the Essex in 1945.

Capt Jim Cupp 12
