Wait a minute -- did Alabama get into the playoffs this year?
I'm mostly convinced they couldn't even beat Jacksonville.

Well the Bama Ohio State game went as expected. Perhaps teams should be disqualified from CFP for being "too good".  :D

Congrats to Alabama!  Alabama is considered, and rightly so...a once in a lifetime team.   I saw the same thing happen back in 68 when Ohio state won the CFB Championship.  They at that time were considered the best of all time.  As the saying goes, records are made to be broken.

and do not  remember Coach McGinty......then see the movie again   :D :D

I am sure Coach McGinty would say: "Mac Jones has miles and miles of heart."

Except Bama has been "that team' three times in some people's lifetime.  Four NC's between 1925-1934.  Six NC's between 1961-1979, and of course the run they are on now.  As much as it pains me to admit it, no team has come close to accomplishing what Bama has in football.

I still have a problem convincing my wife that Bryant isn't kin to her somehow  :D
But then again again I am in a "mixed marriage" she is Alabama and I am Auburn

Michigan finally has all its coaching changes sorted out -- and there are a lot of them.  I'm interested to see how it works out.

Harbaugh is still head coach and will be coaching QB's (which I'm glad about).

They retained a good recruiting class for 2021 (#11 nationally), so that's great.

I'm looking forward to 2021 football.

Heupel certainly seems well qualified to develop QB's and an offense (was a QB himself for Oklahoma and was runner up for the Heisman in 2000 on the national-championship team, and he's worked as QB coach and offensive coach under Stoops).

If he can get a good defensive coordinator, could be really good.

Who do folks think will be the QB for 2021?

Don't forget the Lions' new coaches and the Stafford trade for two #1s and some crappy QB they threw in.  Things already looking up.

Lions got a very good deal, I think.  They got those draft picks plus Goff.  He seems like a pretty good QB.  Took Rams to the Super Bowl once.  With the draft picks, who knows -- Lions might also get Justin Fields.  But I think that they should be happy with Goff and use picks to help other positions that need it more.

I don't watch pro football, though, other than some games if Brady is in there.  I'll watch the Super Bowl.
