Repairs and ord change on fuel pad ?
« on: November 15, 2020, 04:28:57 AM »
right now 30 sec to reload.

Proposal:

.ordmenu command for list of different ord configurations while on refuel pad
ie:
.ordmenu
HOST- Available loadouts:
.ord 1 1 - station 1 - 2x250kb bomb station 2 2x20mm
and so on.
Using .ord command  and waiting 30 seconds ytou can select different loadout then one you landed with.

Same for fuel. .fuel command to adjust fuel load.

Secondly:
Waiting for 3 minutes on refuel/reord pad fixes missing parts/damage ? 5 minutes for pilot wound ?

Just thinking outloud.

Better yet: fixes on rearm pad charged in perks. Ie: do you want to fix your aircraft for 2.3 fighter perks?

End sortie - heals wounded pilot, fixes broken plane, allows you to adjust ord/fuel, allows you to select different plane. Miraculous, if you think about it.  :D

But, that requires more clicking damn it! :furious

Silliness aside, I believe hitech may have stated that if rearm pad was to repair aircraft, it would end your "current" sortie (land kills/damage/etc) and start you "fresh".  Aside giving the ability to rearm/repair at a field with hangers down, what is the point, other than saving a few clicks on the mouse? :headscratch:

Streak score purposes or in cases of ENY has gone awry and prevents from taking the same plane again maybe?

In one life (or even limited lives) events, rearm pads are essential.  :old:

surely swapping out a flap or aileron takes as much time as putting on a track or fitting a new engine to a tank?

Me personally.. would never use it... but can't see the problem with it.... if a GV can insta fix/reload why can't a plane...

Rearm works when the ammo is taken out at a field. Refueling when fighters are disabled is of use....

Make it happen on CV only as regards to repair and ord change as their crews would often jettison and sacrifice damaged aircraft to the deep oceans in reality to save the birds coming in to land.
It's not easy to land on a CV so this could be a further reward for doing so.

For normal airfields no repair but allow fuel and ord change including gondolas on or off - luftwaffe field kits. Towering out needs a delay whilst you await as the pad vulches would be fun on the opposite side of the coin. Luring and teamwork around rearm pads promotes hectic fun for the attacker and ackers

I'm not sure about pilot wounds and certain repairs.

Yeah, that is a doozy.  I've thought about this a couple times myself, but...*shrugs*  I've looked at it as: it is what it is.  If HiTech changed it to where it could repair an aircraft and not end that current sortie, cool beans.  If not, cool beans. :)

I would limit it to leaks (radiator, fuel, oil) and maybe restore some durability from bullet holes in parts, but not destroyed parts.
