Virpil VPC T-50 Mongoos CM2 Throttle Avaliable soon for sale.
« on: December 24, 2020, 06:11:29 PM »
I've pre ordered the Virpil VPC T-50 Mongoos CM3 throttle and as soon as I get a the CM3 I want to sell my Virpil VPC T-50 Mongoos CM2.

The difference between the Cm2 and Cm3 is that the CM3 has a slightly (quarter inch?) longer Throttle handle shafts and it has a modular detent system. It cost around $61 more than the CM2 and you have at least $50 in shipping on top of that. Otherwise they are identical. I play a lot of Jet and Space sims and I even use my CM2 as a Collective for helicopters.

The CM3 should be out by January so as Soon as I get mine, my CM2 is up for sale for around $325 USD plus Shipping (U.S. Only). My Cm2 is 6 months old and is hardly used.

The CM2 Cost $447.04 USD including priority shipping (DHL)
The CM3 Cost $507.96 USD including priority shipping (DHL)

So when using the throttle can they be linked to move the whole thing and then when flying say a Mosquito or P38 you can use both sliders independantly?

Stupid question I know but this is the single biggest consideration when chosing my next throttle and not many of them do this.

Yes The CM2 has a Magnetic lock that when engage locks the second throttle to the first so you can use it to control a single engine aircraft or multiple engines with a single axis. If you unlock the two throttles they can control 2 engines like on the p38 independently.

I'm the wrong person to ask I spend more for the CM2 throttle than I would have at the time for a Warthog.

The only thing I like about the warthog is the stick, every one has problems with the base, and I really don't like the feel of the throttle. Most people that have had both would say that the CM2 is a step or two up from the warthog throttle.

It is far superior to the Warthog throttle.

Ya My CM3 was ready to ship this monday I got the notification and my Credit Card was charged on Christmas Eve, but I had to cancel and re-order due to a snafu with my CM2 discount.

However, They gave me a pretty good deal on the CM3 almost good enough to get me to give my cm2 to my 13 year old but he has My old CH gear and I really want a collective and a control panel :D If I find a buyer for my CM2 I'm going to put the money towards the Control Panel or one of the new Collective/Grip sets that are coming out with. It should give me some armor against wife ack.

There is a CM2 on Ebay with a current bid of $485 and a buy now price of $635, but I can't in good conscious sell a used cm2 for more than retail or what I paid for it so I'm hoping I don't have a problem liquidating this controller and my only problem is going to be deciding between the KA-50 or the UH-60 Collective grip.

Edit: The Cm3 Throttle was not suppose to ship until the end of January but The differences between the cm2 and cm3 are so minor that retooling of their production sytem was almost instant and they had production samples out back in early November.

Ya I was 11b in the 101st, I got to take part in the largest air assault invasion in history, and I spent a few months as a door gunner on a UH60; I even got sent to Aviation training at Fort Rucker, So I kinda have a special place in my heart for Helicopters .... or maybe that's just acid reflux talking.

I already have the 4 existing helicopters in DCS I love the UH-1 and I plan on getting the mi-24 OH-58 and AH-64 when they come out.
