In-game sound stuttering

This started about a week or so ago...half second, intermittent hiccups in sound. Nothing's changed insofar as my system is concerned. Any clues what the culprit may be?

With the most recent Windows Update,and the latest Nvidia update, I got a prompt,"Your computer needs to restart, to finish "Sonic Audio or Shock Wave  Audio" installation. Sound drivers seem to be the main Villain with these issues. You talking Game Sounds, or Radio? Eh, doesnt really matter...its using Sound Drivers for both! "Trying to channel BizMan....FAIL :rofl I couldnt put my finger on the Post that explained how to delete Nvidia issues? It out there, but I couldnt find it :bhead

Just a wild guess, but could it be a notification hidden by the 'Focus assist' feature? Go to Settings-System-Notifications&actions. Uncheck every tick box. Allow 'Get notifications' only from AutoPlay and Security&Maintenance. If you wish you can disable even those and disable all notifications at the top of the page. I like to leave the AutoPlay enabled since it tells when you can safely remove a USB stick.

Also, especially if you see Chrome and/or Edge in the show notifications list, go to the settings of those (for Chrome go to Advanced) -System: Disable running in the background when the browser is closed. Combined with notifications the worst I've seen happening is that every time an ad on some page changes a dark notification box bounces on the right - and most often the ads are about tits and/or gambling...

:rofl What is wrong with "Tits"? Gambling????? Maybe an issue? Pretty sure the Profiles in these adds are Bots!  I'll give ya that one! Breastaphobe!!! Get THEE behind me! Whew, at least you arent Greek...right? :rofl You may be on to something? Seems that just about every time, that I get these "blurps", there is a Windows Update to install, soon there after

What's wrong? Well... If your wife uses the same computer and profile which many older couples do you may have some explaining to do. At least that's what the customers have told me.  :old:

But...BUT...its for science and Calculus/Polling/Psychology/Leisure Studies/ and other BS reasons!!!! I am divorced...so....? :rofl  WAS NOT MY DOING...maybe my REVENGE mind set is to blame, for my Objectifying of "Tits"? :bolt: :rofl
