It's true.  Zack turned Japanese a while back.   :aok

Zack -- you therefore must fly a N1K2 in this!  Your countrymen need you!

Thse airplane match ups for the event are going to be very interesting. One would think the Yanks have the edge but I wouldn't be so fast to assume. The Japanese fighters have several advantages. Thoughts?

Yes and Ive spent some time in a KI-84, not that I'm any good in it, and its a very capable airplane too. I'm think the dive and roll, along with teamwork, will give the P47s an edge but the truth is were going into this wanting to fight and if we find ourselves turn fighting against these Japanese planes we might end up in trouble. Plus they can really accelerate and this is a problem too especially if you find yourself slow in a 47.

And both have HO-20mm cannon, the Nik 4 and the KI-84 2 along with 2 0.50 MGs so they bring a lot of firepower to the show and are a real danger to our Bombers as well. I'm hoping the fight stays way up high where the Yank fighters will have the edge. 30,000' is just fine with me but I dont remember any B24s being involved in Leyte offhand.

Hellcats and USN dive bombing and torpedo planes were involved, to bad we dont have the numbers to man these squadrons too.
