Gliders for Town Maproom

4 engine and 2 engine bombers have an option in the Hangar for loadout.  Players select the Glider option for one glider attached to a single bomber with no bombs onboard.  Each glider carries 4 individual troops.  Bomber formations are not allowed for Glider option.

3 or more players fly the bombers to enemy Town and release the Gliders at a pre-determined altitude and distance from Town.  Gliders are on automatic landing and disperse troops once on the ground and stopped.  Once the 10th man is in, then map room captured.

I like the idea of gliders for resupplying bases/towns.  C-47 with glider in tow full of sups = 20 minutes less down time vs. 10 minutes.

Would be cool to pilot the glider...

Going from rushing wind noise while being pulled to almost silent when released .. to the explosion when the fighter nails you :)

Have you experienced the Arabian Knight Looney Gooney Mission?  10 + C-47s dropping troops in the air.  Airborne assault.

The whole purpose of the OP is to add another dimension to the base capture.  Let it be the choice of the players on whether they can get the gliders in.  Either it will work and all will be happy or fail and try again.

yes, was on a squad that would bring c47s and drop troops over a base and bet who would die at the lowest altitude, was a lot of fun.
