My Stuka
« on: June 20, 2021, 03:34:23 PM »
For those that remember my Dog Stuka, I am heartbroken to say that old age has creeped in and made life not so easy for him lately. Tomorrow we will be taking him to the vet and let him rest so he can be with his brother Tank. We lost Tank in April to spleen cancer. I am completely devastated. These boys have taught me so much and are the reason I fell in love with pit bulls.

Betty, I've been in your situation a few times and it tears at my heart just to think of it. So sorry for your loss  :pray  The guy below, Trooper, was an abused Pit Bull taken in by a local rescue. He's a joy, smart and incredibly affectionate. We give them our love...they love us back...and the memories last forever. Take care.

Very sorry betty to hear this..for me to lose a pet is one of the hardest moments

Many years ago I had to put down our Akita due to age

I too took her to the vet the Monday morning after a Father's day weekend ..

Took a while to replace her - went over 10 years without a pet - we watched my oldest sons 4 dogs to scratch that itch, but now have a 4 year old pit called Skyler who is the joy of our lives

Condolences Betty.  You do all you can for them, and they leave too soon.  Take solace in the knowledge that you gave both of them the best life that you could.

Betty,

I know the feelings as I've had to put down many dogs over the years. It comes with the territory when you raise and breed dogs. It's never easy but I always try to remember something good or funny they have done and keep that close to my heart.

Really sorry to here its stuka,I know you had a special relationship with him. Take your time if you're think of getting a new dog.

I dont have my staffies anymore, last one went a few years back but I do have 2 bulldogs and well they are both a pain in the butt, wouldnt want it any other way.

Betty,
I'm so sorry to see this and very sorry for you loss.  While I was in Washington DC recently with the Guard my dog developed an aggressive form of lung cancer and had to be put down before I got home.  It was heartbreaking and a helpless feeling.

I do what others have suggested and just thinking about the great times and laughs together.  Not a day goes by I don't think about Sarge.

(hugs)

Very sorry to hear of your loss.

It’s so incredibly tough when you love them like your children.

Wishing and praying for peace in your grieving and sadness.

They're casting their bait over there, see?
