MODAY NIGHT MADNESS HAS MOVED

Starting tonight we will be in the SEAII arena. please let everyone know.
the point of this is to start running log files which will NOT be implemented right away.

We want to test the waters first and then we'll try out the logs. thanks for understanding.

Monday Night Madness--7/26/21 at 8pm EST

8pm EST in the SEAII Arena

join us for our usual fun. Meet the many good people of the game and the fun

in shooting down or being shot down while slamming into a skyscraper!!

Monday Night madness is fun for everyone of all skill levels, its exciting

and all your friends are there, and everyone talks to each other!

We use all midwar planes only. some are easy mode, some are not.

join us for Monday Night Madness in the AVA starting at 8pm EST.

every week there are more and more players coming to check this out!

Pilots are trying to fly in the fog, between buildings,

all the while checking your 6, gets very very intense. plane parts flying everywhere!!

If you're not that good, don't worry about it. we'll help you get better.

It"s great for training, for situational awareness and how

to become a better pilot. it will help you whip some butt in the MA! you wont be sorry.

Hmmm, well I'm not sure why logs?  I mean tbh, I didn't think AvA needed a scoring anyway. It's nice to have a place to fight for fun without someone taking it too seriously.

Also, if yall are moving, then I guess the AvA will forever be flat. Might aswell be better off changing it to a small map team death match arena with only mid war planes or something. Changing the name "team death match-small map". Or something like that so people who don't go on the boards have a clue what's going on. I personally don't think many people even know the AvA is on a really small map and its unfortunate we cannot have a few guys fly in there every night to build up #s.

As usual, surely wish I could make it most of the time. It's tough for me to be able to play on the week nights. I know it's always a lot of fun and I am glad to hear the #s are picking up.

I've always enjoyed my visits to MNM very much but I can think of some obvious and compelling negatives associated with running logs that have the potential to change the tone of the event, so I suspect you have equally compelling reasons for this change? Please help me understand your reasoning on this?

Kind regards

I never got around to joining MNM.  So forgive me if this is obvious.

Is MNM a AvA setup?  I was under the impression it wasn't.  It always seemed odd to me that it was hosted in the AvA.  It seemed more of an "event" instead of an AvA scenario, so it seems reasonable to host it in the Events area.

Whether or not you run logs is a separate issue, right?

moving Monday night madness to the SEAII is a side affect. im trying to put together a mini war in the SEAII. having MNM in there isnt hurting anything and running logs is just a fun thing. if it affect game play, i can stop the logs, pretty simple.

nothing is set in stone and if anyone has a better idea, id love to hear it. i like to look at it as a positive thing. im pretty positive everyone that was in there on monday night had a good time. the numbers a strong and the fights are friendly. it will be the same way in the SEAII except with logs for fun.

when i start running the mini war, i already have a good source of players who said they would like to participate. so all i can say is join in the fun and bring a friend!! its always a great time!

The SEA team also has cross arena announcement privileges, allowing Jaeger the ability to send reminders to those that choose to hang out in the MA before MNM gets started.
Just saying.
Easy in-game again.

I don't know, it sounded to me that there might be a connection between the move and running logs but that's just an assumption based on the following quote:

But I have no idea if the move and running logs are connected, I only commented because I can see why running logs might not be such a good idea.

When I've been to MNM it has always been so much fun I'm not sure I see how running logs will enhance that? Can you explain what you have in mind please?

If I understand correctly, the admin has to execute a dot command to start and stop the logs.
So if logs are not desired, they don't have to do that.

Ok, but I was genuinely curious how the logs were going to enhance our fun?

I'm firmly in favor of more fun, just not clear how that's going to work?

Could be I'm just being dense, can you explain how that will work please?

I think he's using MNM as practice for when he runs his mini-war thing later on, Badz.  Don't know that any of the dedicated MNM crowd will care one way or the other, but the people who (hopefully) attend the other thing might.  And Jaeger will, by then, know how to do it.

again the logs for MNM are for fun. what they bring?  not much, but it doesnt matter, most of us dont care, certainly not me. if someone wants to look at them, its just something extra to bring to the game. its just as much fun with the logs, as without logs.

im trying to help the game and make it more enjoyable. your participation would help, as would anyone one else interested in having a good time.

I think they may be worried about the fact that logs brings an element of "score keeping" to what was just a general free for all. Players will play different if there is scoring involved and that might hurt the fun the arena was originally about.

Maybe elsewhere but MNM has a dedicated group that could care less what rank they are there..lol

Most of us use it to train and fly planes we others can't in MA due to its structure.

Thanks Jaeger for hosting this for us weekly!
